Cocktails

In 1988, Tom Cruise starred in the movie, "Cocktail". It changed the way the world viewed bartenders. Flair bartending became the rage and bottle flipping was suddenly the cool way to tend bar. Before that we had 007 ordering his Vodka Martini, shaken, not stirred… hmmm… well here's something that Hollywood neglects to tell us.

Making a cocktail by just pouring the ingredients certainly looks easy, and flipping and shaking the cocktail makes sure that all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed to ensure the flavour comes out… right?... wrong!!!

It takes a lot of practice to acquire the “feel” of making a cocktail. It's not just the measure of each ingredient that matters, but the order in which it is placed and shaking and flipping, more often than not, “bruises” the alcohol and can alter the taste.

So , here's a few of our tremendously extensive list of cocktails to whet your appetite for a delicious, ever so inviting cocktail, made with experience and a lot of TLC.
